Dear all guests. Welcome to the website of The Faculty of Pharmacy, Silpakorn University. Our faculty has been established since 1985 A.D. as the sixth Faculty of Pharmacy in Thailand. At present, we are going to the 23^rd year after the first entering students in the year 1986 A.D. Our faculty was set by the first dean, the late Associate Professor Dr. Prachote Plengvidhaya and the other former deans were Associate Professor Dr. Sindhchai Keokittichai and Assistant Professor Dr. Wanchai Sutananta.

In this academic year, 2009, the faculty will start the 6^th year Bachelor Program following the requirement of The Pharmacy Council which was already approved by the Silpakorn University Council. This new program will emphasize not only on academic knowledge but also on activities to develop moral and professional pharmacy practice ethics, in consistence to the characteristics of an intellectual graduate which is “Humanity, Aptness, and Social”. Furthermore, there are also a lot of Master and Ph.D. programs in pharmaceutical sciences, social and administrative pharmacy, consumer protection, pharmaceutical technology, as well as pharmacy practice and pharmacy management. The latest and most innovate is the international Ph.D. program in Pharmaceutical Engineering which will run in the 2^nd semester of this year.

Our staff have received a lot of supporting grants to do research projects in many fields both from Silpakorn University and external funding bodies. There are also collaborative with professors from foreign countries. A lot of research works have been published in national and international journals. In the role of academic services, we operate Bhaesaj Sala, a drug store, to serve patients inside and outside the university. The service of drug information system by the Prachanart Pharmaceutical Information Network is being set and will be online very soon. The service center for drug and herbal analysis is in preparation and is soon to start, which also includes chemical and biological analysis as well as doing collaborative with pharmaceutical manufacturers in research and development of pharmaceutical product.
